KSB's Amarex KRT family of heavy-duty submersible pumps offer many benefits.

KSB Pumps has expanded its large portfolio of offerings with the new generation of its Amarex KRT family of heavy-duty submersible pumps. Designed for water and wastewater applications, the new pumps offer many features and benefits, which allow them to effectively handle raw sewage, activated or digested sludge and fluids containing dissolved gases.

Powerful: The new Amarex KRT pumps are available with power ratings of up to 850 kW, the highest standard motor power in the industry. Standard models feature outputs of up to 10,080 cubic metres per hour, and heads as high as 120 metres.

Efficient: KSB’s engineers have designed the Amarex KRT pumps to maximize hydraulic efficiency under the operating conditions typically encountered by large wastewater treatment pumps.

Dependable: The pumps also offer reliability and long service life thanks to a variety of protective features. The motor chamber, for example, is protected from water ingress by features such as bi-directional mechanical seals and a large oil-filled chamber separating the motor from the impeller. Resin-sealed cable entries are included to eliminate the risk of water seepage between strands of the power cables. In addition, sealed ball bearings support the sturdy stainless steel shaft. Several casing and impeller material choices are available for those applications where acid water or abrasive solids are present. This also ensures a long service life.

User-friendly: All fasteners in wetted areas are made of stainless steel, ensuring that the pumps can be easily dismantled, even after years of operation under harsh conditions.

Versatile: Four impeller types are available with several casing and impeller material options. This allows for maximum versatility under different wastewater conditions. A version with a built-in cooling jacket is also available for dry-well installations.
