The GEH6060IL mechatronic parallel gripper from Zimmer Group has been optimized for human-robot collaboration, and meets the current requirements of ISO/TS 15066, which specifies safety requirements for collaborative industrial robot systems.

A safe choice

This gripper has been designed with safety in mind. For example, it has no sharp edges. Instead, its sides are rounded to prevent accidental snagging. In addition, it has limited gripping force when a person is in the working area. When not in the presence of humans, the gripper offers a maximum stroke of 60 millimetres.

Additional features and advantages

GEH6060IL grippers are driven by a brushless, electronically commutated DC motor with an integrated controller. These units are very easy to use thanks to the IO-Link connection. Data can be selectively entered, centrally stored and easily transferred to devices with the same function, resulting in significant time savings during commissioning. In addition, the unit’s actuators and sensors can be replaced during operation, maximizing uptime.
