CSMH latches feature IP65 protection.

Gould Fasteners can supply the new CSMH latch with compression handle from Elesa. This latch is particularly well-suited to power generator, machine protection and panelling applications. It can also be used for outdoor applications, thanks to its weatherproof construction, which allows it to stand up to bad weather conditions.

CSMH latch details

The CSMH latch has a silicone packing ring and meets IP65 protection class standards. This provides protection against dust, steam, water jets and solid foreign bodies. As a result, it will reliably safeguard the contents of the compartment it is installed on.

The latch has a built-in lock that is available with 400 different combinations. The lock has a dust cover made from an acetal resin based (POM) technopolymer. It is supplied with two brass keys that are nickel-plated. The keys can be removed from the lock in two positions at 90 degrees.

For additional security, the die-cast zinc alloy handle has a hole that allows insertion of a padlock. It is also possible to use a microswitch with this latch to enable remote signalling when the handle is opened and closed.
