The Harting Roadshow Truck kicked off its year-long tour on September 18 in New York City.

Harting has launched an initiative that’s bringing the leading connectivity solutions provider one step closer to its customers across North America — a year-long roadshow tour. The Harting Roadshow Truck will travel across North America educating engineers on the concepts, trends and products relevant to their needs. The truck will also be showcasing the company’s best-in-class solutions, including industrial connectors, cable assemblies, board level connectors, backplane assemblies, industrial Ethernet switches, and its industrial RFID solution.

The goal of the tour is an extension of Harting’s goal — to support the engineering community with the industry knowledge they need for their daily tasks.

“Engineers need the right tools to better inform themselves when choosing a connector solution. We aren’t here to just sell a product,” says Jon DeSouza, president and CEO of Harting, Inc. of North America. “We want to show what’s out there in the world of industrial connectivity, and help to find the solution that’s right for a specific application.”
The truck offers a targeted user experience through interactive apps and interchangeable product displays. This approach allows users to choose what areas they want to focus on.

Educating customers is important to Harting, and it’s the driver behind many of the company’s recent initiatives. The Roadshow Truck is an expansion of the educational initiatives Harting launched last year through its free, web-based portal, The website is a resource for engineers, offering white papers, tutorial videos, best practices, technical articles, case studies, customer testimonials and more, all related to industrial connectivity.

The Harting Roadshow Truck kicked off its year-long tour on September 18 at Boyce Technologies in New York City. The tour will continue through the U.S. and Canada, including stops in Montreal (October 14) and British Columbia (November 11). Check out the schedule to see when the truck will be in your area.
