Alps Welding has the capacity to work on very large projects in its 55,000-square-foot Woodbridge, Ont.-based fabrication facility.

Whatever the requirements, Alps Welding can build it. The custom fabricator has spent 40 years honing its craft, and has a reputation for taking on the most complex projects — and getting the job done to customer specifications on time.

“Whether your requirements include sour service, low temperature service, high-tensile or hardened applications, or highly corrosive environments, we can build your equipment,” says Dennis Dussin, president, Alps Welding.

The company is capable of fabricating in many grades of carbon and stainless steel, including alloys such as Hastelloy, Monel and Inconel. It’s also able to fabricate with titanium.

It has the capacity to work on very large projects in its 55,000-square-foot Woodbridge, Ont.-based fabrication facility, which features an 18-foot shipping envelope, 30 feet under the hook and a 70-ton crane capacity.

Alps Welding has more than 100 distinct welding procedures, and adds additional capabilities every year. The company has expanded its scope over its four decades in business. Its capabilities now include vessel fabrication, engineering design and detailing, piping fabrication and assembly, installation of electrical and instrumentation parts, structural supports for equipment, insulation and shipping preparation. The company can integrate these activities to fabricate fully modularized or skid-mounted systems, ready to ship for installation at the site.

Alps Welding has also developed an extensive quality assurance program, audited and accredited as an ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 fabricator.

“We apply this same quality program to all of our projects, and as a result, have developed a reputation for building highly engineered, high-specification, critical equipment that requires a lot of inspection and testing,” Dussin explains.
