3M now employs Scotchgard Anti-Fog Coating on its Solus 1000 Series and Google Gear 500 Series.

3M is a global technology company known for delivering innovative solutions. It’s no surprise, then, that the industry leader now applies anti-fog technology to its Solus 1000 Series Safety Eyewear, as well as its Google Gear 500 Series Splash Goggle. The result: customers can see clearly, longer.

The need
A fogged lens can be dangerous for a worker on the jobsite. By removing eyewear to wipe away fog, the worker is exposing his or her eyes to potentially dangerous hazards and debris.

The solution

The Scotchgard Anti-Fog Coating that 3M now employs on its Solus 1000 Series and Google Gear 500 Series resists fogging longer than traditional anti-fog coatings, even after being washed at least 25 times. It meets the requirements of CSA Z94.3 and ANSI Z87.1, so workers can be assured that they are wearing a quality product that offers protection.
