Our History
Ken Forging, Inc is a family-owned fully integrated 200,000 square foot hot-drop forging company located in Northeast Ohio and manufacturer of closed-die Industrial Hardware in carbon, alloy and stainless steel. Richard A. Kovach, President and owner, began Ken Tool and Die business in 1970 in a 20x20 garage in Cleveland, Ohio.
As business expanded, the direction changed from sinking dies for others to manufacturing product lines of his own which brought about a name change to Ken Forging, Inc. to reflect the emphasis on forging fasteners, industrial hardware and custom forgings. Ken Forging, Inc. has grown into one of the country?s leading forging manufacturers and Leader in the Eyebolt Industry.
Our Products
Ken Forging stocks industrial hardware in carbon steels (grades C1018 through C1045 including C1030 and C1035) alloy steels (4140 and F11 and F22) and stainless steels (304 and 316 series). Our product is available in many finishes including plain (self-colored) hot dip or electro galvanize (zinc) and electro polished. Our threading capabilities include UNC and UNF as well as Metric and ACME. Custom plating and special heat treat processes are also available.
