Industrial Projects MWI has the capacity to construct bulk storage silos for almost any free-flowing bulk product, such as: coal, sand, cement powder, ash, etc. Semi and non free-flowing materials include: wood chips, wheat shorts, bark, sawdust, meat meal, soybean meal, etc. (these require a reclaim system).		Reclaim Systems Non or semi free-flowing bulk material usually requires a reclaim system.  MWI is the exclusive representative of the Weaver reclaimers.  We have installed their system for more than 30 years.  Capacities are tailored to the customer's needs.  MWI installations have discharge capacities of up to 250 tonnes per hour. MWI also represents Flying Dutchman flail type unloader reclaimers on a non-exclusive basis. Reclaimers are recommended to satisfy the customers specific requirements. Reclaim systems can be set up to load out of trucks, supply processing, or automatically meter directly into boiler systems.

Construction Methods

Our companies have used the Weaver 4' smooth wall Jump Form Silo Construction System (WSBM) exclusively for the past 27 years.

This system consists of either fixed diameter or adjustable diameter form sets.  Each ring of forms is 4 ft. tall.  Three rings of forms are stacked on top of each other.  The lowest outside forms are raised in groups of 5 or 6 and placed on top of the most recently poured ring of concrete.  Re-bar is then tied into place.  Next, the inside forms are raised individually and placed on top; then the work platform is raised.  At this point, the 4 ft. ring is ready to be filled with concrete.  Concrete is hoisted by our own hoist and placed via the distributor cart.  When the pour is complete, the cycle is repeated until a maximum of 12 ft. per day is constructed and/or the silo reaches it's desired height.

Waterstop placed at each cold joint ensures a waterproof structure.

Specialty Towers

Specialty towers can be constructed for any purpose, such as: support shafts for elevated municipal water storage towers, observation, stair wells, stacking tubes, chimneys, etc.
