3M^™ Structural Bonding Tapes

3M^™ Structural Bonding Tapes are a family of "hybrid" tapes that combine the strength of a structural adhesive with the ease of use of a pressure sensitive adhesive and the reliability of a tape format. The product offers much greater temperature resistance, cleavage strength, shear strength, and fatigue resistance than the highest strength pressure sensitive adhesives. It also offers greater fixturing strength, better shelf life, less cleanup, more consistent mixing and better shape retention than many high strength liquid adhesives and films. As a result, the tape can help speed throughput and reprocessing costs compared to liquid adhesives, rivets and welds in many applicatons such as that of hardware, high stress nameplates, sheet metal, some temperature resistant plastics, ceramic magnets.
